Basement Remodel | Mickleton, NJ

What an incredible space to host family and friends!  That is exactly what these homeowners asked for when they first came to us. This family needed a space where their daughter could hang out with friends, but that could also serve as an adult space for them to play with their toys – mainly their billiard, ping pong, and foosball tables.  Who says adults can’t have fun? And fun is what our Remodeling Designer Ken Endt created.

Previously, the basement had been underutilized and was a catch-all storage area for general household items.  To make room for the tables, we first had to design some attractive storage closets to hide and store the basement contents.  Double outswing doors with decorative strapping allowed for complete unobstructed access to every square inch of the new closets.

We planned for two separate functional zones.  One is a cozy carpeted space with plenty of seating where kids can relax and watch a movie.  The other zone was designated for the gaming area, with LVT flooring underfoot for easy maintenance and managing spills.

Custom features with industrial styling have been added throughout the basement to add a modern feel and wood tones.  We accented the mahogany shelves with iron pipe supports, which serve as drink rails around the pool table.  Several lighting zones are controlled by dimming switches, so the family can control the illumination based on the need and mood.

Now the family has a multifunctional space that can be enjoyed by both the kids and adults!

Basement Remodel | Swedesboro, NJ

This Swedesboro homeowner came to Cipriani Remodeling Solutions with a completely unfinished basement they primarily used for storage.

As a young and growing family, they wanted to create a new living space their kids would be safe playing in, and they had a budget they needed to stick to.

Our remodeling designer, Kathryn Wheeler,  stepped into this space and brought the homeowner’s dream to life! While they gave Kathyrn creative liberty, they wanted the design of this room to acknowledge that it is a different type of living space than their primary living area upstairs. To accomplish that she created a downstairs living space with an industrial vibe to it.

She created a unique balance in the space by using a luxury vinyl tile floor, a combination of light and dark accents like the white baseboard with the black exposed ceiling and industrial finishes. Kathryn also designed this space to leave room for their storage and mechanics giving them the best of both worlds in their basement.

The final result? A comfortable, safe space for their family to grow into; one that came in under budget and two weeks early.

The family was thrilled with what our team was able to do for them!

Basement Remodel | Voorhees, NJ

This lower level was carefully designed by Sue Faramelli, one of our Remodeling Designers, to bring everything the family sought to life.

Starting at the top of the stairs, we installed a glass panel door. We did a vintage-style tin tile down the center of the stairwell ceiling, also used in the dry bar for continuity. We replaced the support post for the TV area with a larger header beam wrapped in stained wood, which is accented by handmade floating shelves stained the same way. The new iron balusters and wooden posts pulled all of this together with new carpeting to keep the stairs quiet and slip resistant.

The dry bar had some sparkle added through the selected granite countertop, complemented by the tin tile backsplash. With functionality and durability in mind, Sue chose waterproof Luxury Vinyl Planking (LVP) for the flooring. We even installed a mini split and dehumidifier to help with air quality and temperature control as the family frequently enjoys spending time down in the basement.

By the end of this project, the family gained four new areas to enjoy – a dry bar, a dining and game area, a relaxing TV area, and a place to jam with their instruments.

Basement Remodel | Mt. Laurel, NJ

We’ve had the opportunity to work with this family on several projects over the years.

This time, they brought Sue and the team into their primary home in Mt. Laurel, NJ to remodel their basement and renovate their foyer area, garage doors and sunroom.

The goal of the basement renovation was to design a space where friends and family wanted to spend time together while still serving them in a functional way.

When you first walk down the stairs, to the right, you’ll find the new bar area we created for them finished off with a gorgeous granite countertop. To the left, you’ll find a home gym room.

The main living area includes a lounge area for entertainment and a game area decorated with sports memorabilia.

This family’s home is the place to be on holidays, game nights or simply a Friday night when you need to unwind from a long week.
