Cipriani Remodeling Solutions Volunteers at Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity’s Inaugural “Rock the Block” Community Service Event
On Saturday, September 14th, Cipriani Remodeling Solutions proudly partnered with Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity for their inaugural “Rock the Block” event in Deptford, NJ. Alongside our team, over 50 dedicated volunteers, including sponsors and local partners, came together to make a tangible impact on the lives of five families in the community.
A Day of Service and Transformation
“Rock the Block” is more than just a day of home repairs—it’s about strengthening communities and building lasting connections. This one-day event targeted much-needed updates for five homes, ensuring safety and improving overall functionality. In partnership with the First Baptist Church of Jericho (FBCJ), all homes were located within a one-mile radius of the church at 981 Mail Ave. As the main House Sponsor for the event, Cipriani Remodeling Solutions contributed both labor and financial support, helping make these vital transformations possible.
Making a Difference for Miss Bernice Murray
The home our team had the pleasure of working on was that of Miss Bernice Murray, a senior citizen facing the challenges of living with Multiple Sclerosis. The ramp we installed was life-changing for Miss Bernice, providing her with much-needed accessibility and greater independence. In addition to the ramp, our volunteers repainted the front and back trim, secured the gutters, and revitalized the landscaping around her home. Miss Bernice shared her heartfelt gratitude, saying, “As a senior citizen, it’s easy for maintenance to get ahead of you. The time, energy, and effort you are sharing with me is much appreciated.”

Cipriani Remodeling Solutions was joined by incredible partners who helped make this event a success. We extend our sincere thanks to High Point Roofing, The Paulsboro Refining Company, Inspira Health, Ocean First Bank, Franklin Bank, Hoffman’s Exterminating, and Krise Services. Their contributions, both financial and in-kind, ensured that the day ran smoothly and had a long-lasting impact. In-kind support, such as the food and drinks provided by Chick-fil-A (Deptford), Heritage’s, and SAM’s Club, kept our volunteers energized and ready to serve throughout the day.
A Day to Remember
The “Rock the Block” event represents the launch of Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity’s new Repairs Program, which is set to expand services across the county in 2025. This program will enable low-income families who own their homes to apply for critical repairs. Cipriani Remodeling Solutions is honored to have been part of this groundbreaking initiative.
