Cipriani Remodeling Solutions Celebrates National Home Improvement Month with Improvements to Local Kids’ ‘Second Home’

MT. LAUREL, NJ (May 9, 2024) – The final bell at school rings. Students pack up their books, say goodbye to their friends, and head out the door. For some students, the place they’re heading serves as their “second home;” somewhere they enjoy spending a couple hours after school each day hanging out with friends, doing homework, and making meaningful memories before they head home with their families.

The Boys and Girls Club of Paulsboro is that place for over 30 students in the local area. As such, the state of the building, both internally and externally, is important. Over time, the ramp’s deck boards that line one of the handicap entrances have nearly rotted away.

To celebrate National Home Improvement Month, Cipriani Remodeling Solutions, an award-winning Design Build Home Remodeling company in South Jersey, replaced the decking on that ramp for the Boys and Girls Club of Paulsboro.

“I’ve seen the Boys and Girls Club serve as a ‘second home’ to so many students over the years,” notes Jay Cipriani, Founder and Co-Owner of Cipriani Remodeling Solutions. “It’s important to me, personally, that every aspect of the building remains a safe and comfortable space for the kids, their families and the staff so it can continue serving the community for years to come.”

National Home Improvement Month, recognized in May each year, was established in 2002 by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) with the backing of the U.S. Congress. This initiative intends to help homeowners learn about their homes, recognize signs that something needs repair, and find qualified experts in their area.

“Cipriani Remodeling Solutions has been supporting the Boys and Girls Club of Paulsboro for years in many ways,” says Gerald Hodges, Director of Programs for the Boys and Girls Club of Gloucester County. “The time and resources they donated means a lot, not just to me, but to those in the community we’re here to serve.”

Several members of the Cipriani team spent the day at the Boys and Girls Club of Paulsboro on Thursday, including Project Managers Jim Zuchowski and Rob Blank, and Carpenters Pete Ladelfa, Mark Gain and Daniel Dunmire. When they finished up, they cleaned up the job site, leaving it just as it was before they arrived (as is the Cipriani Standard). See the transformation for yourself in these photos:

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Gloucester County exist to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
