Home Addition

For this project, we were tasked with designing an in-law suite on the side of this home. After the homeowner’s mother had lived alone for 40 years, her space had become too big and she was ready to move in with her daughter and her husband. 

Our obstacle was to fit as much as we could into this smaller space. For the space, we designed a living room, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. In the living room, we built a custom entertainment center for storage and the kitchenette provides the mother with plenty of cabinet space. Her bedroom was planned and measured to fit all of her furniture and we built around that accordingly. The bathroom is the mother’s favorite part of the project and includes a curbless entry to the shower and grab bars.
