Mt. Laurel, NJ – Conover Court
This Mount Laurel family craved more elbow room and open sight lines in their outdated 1980’s kitchen. Paramount to the design was removing a partition wall that separated the dining room from the kitchen. With the wall and a pole removed, new Conestoga cabinetry in a cherry finish extends past the old kitchen area to provide plenty of storage in the new gourmet kitchen. A new tile backsplash with mosaic focal points within the wine bar area and over the new chef’s range balance the whole design.
Pop-out receptacles on both sides of the island serve as an aesthetically pleasing safety feature. Also important to the owners was a charging and storage area for their communications and electronics devices. The new electronics cabinet is rotated, facing the family room for easy access and disguised by fixed panels, providing symmetry with the left pantry. LED lighting under the upper cabinetry illuminates the new granite countertops and the custom backsplash. The crown molding seamlessly transitions in the over-the-sink valance to continue the flow of the cabinetry and encase the new recessed lighting.
This new functional & expanded “heart of the home” has become a favorite place for family & friends to gather.
