Kitchen Remodeling

These homeowners came to us with an idea, but they were unsure if it could work. They wanted to take a wall down between the dining room and kitchen and maybe flip flop the two rooms. Our designer, Krista McLaverty, had a few ideas for them, and created a design that worked beautifully. The ultimate goal was to get the most out of their space. They wanted more storage, countertop area, and most of all a large island. By moving the kitchen into the dining room space, we were able to do just that. A column was removed on the ½ wall between the living room and kitchen. We made the ½ wall into a bar height wall with an extended countertop and stools underneath. Tile was added to that wall which made an easy clean up when kids kick the wall while seated there. We went with a two tone kitchen with a perimeter of grey cabinets and the island and coffee bar area in white. The focal point over the stove is a custom glass piece and every color was hand selected by the homeowners.
