This homeowner’s main request was that they wanted a new island in their kitchen where the family could eat dinner and hangout afterwards.

Anne van de Rijn was able to design an island with stools for the children to sit at. In order to construct island, we removed a bank of cabinets which left the wall empty. Our painters matched that paneled wall with the same color as the new island.

We used full sized pantry cabinets with pull-out shelves to provide more storage. We then installed upgraded stainless appliances, incorporated gold drawer pulls and installed chrome light fixtures and brushed nickel door handles. Hardwood flooring was added throughout the space. We also fully renovated the laundry room.

We spent months putting this design together so that we could maximize the space with as much function as possible and the photos really speak for themselves!
